Initially the needle-like leaves of this compact conifer are a pale cream, but as they mature, they turn yellow-green and finally a richer green. This gives them a very distinctive look in the spring when their new growth is emerging, however being evergreen, their cone-shaped silhouette offers form and interest even in the depths of winter.
