With a vigorous growth habit, ‘Flamingo’ thrives as a delightful semi-aquatic plant, introducing bursts of colour to the pond from March onwards and bears small white summer flowers, and as autumn approaches, the leaf colours intensify, prolonging the visual appeal.
How to care for Oenanthe japonica Flamingo:
If using as a boggy/marginal aquatic, plant out in reliably moist or boggy soil, or pot up into a pond basket and place at the margins of a pond at a depth of 0-10cm (0-4"). If grown in a pond, the plant will extend beyond the pot, creating a mass of surface roots. Simply gather and remove them when needed.
