Scabiosa Magic ('Pmoore02')

pincushion flower or scabious

Product Image
Slender, wiry stems hold neat, pincushion-style flowerheads above a tidy mound of foliage, each bloom starting apple green and gradually maturing to pale pink at the centre. The effect is light, airy and full of movement, making it perfect for weaving through a sunny border or adding texture to a cutting garden. Flowering from early summer and carrying on for months, regular deadheading keeps the display going strong and encourages even more of those clever colour-changing blooms.

Plant Scabiosa Magic in moderately fertile, well-drained soil that’s neutral to slightly alkaline, and give it a bright, open spot where it can catch the light. It’s easy to grow, loved by pollinators and brilliant for cutting, with long stems and long-lasting flowers that bring a relaxed, cottage garden feel to your outdoor space.

How to care for Scabiosa Magic ('Pmoore02') (PBR):

Plant in well-drained soil in a sunny spot. Protect young plants from slug damage by using environmentally friendly slug pellets or beer traps. Regular deadheading is crucial to prolong flowering, while cutting back faded flower stems in autumn helps maintain plant health.

Additionally, provide a light mulch to protect the roots over winter and ensure the plant has enough space for good air circulation to prevent fungal issues.
