Masses of double, dark red, saucer-shaped flowers borne on arching shoots from late spring to early summer and aromatic mid- to dark green leaves. This dense ornamental shrub is only half hardy but will happily grow against a warm, sheltered sunny wall in milder areas, or in a pot where it can be moved to a greenhouse or a protected area through the winter months away from frosts.
