Ceramic snail and slug trap
This little ceramic ornament doubles up as a trap to keep slug and snail numbers in check. It’s pesticide free so is great for organic gardens and veg plots and safe for pollinators and pets.
Pour in beer (or a mix of sugar, water and yeast) and put it near plants that are most vulnerable to attack. The yeasty smell will attract slugs and snails into the trap, and the liquid will stop them escaping once inside. You might find it fills up quite quickly so check the trap regularly and give it a rinse and refill as needed.
