This 100% peat-free compost is the blend we use on our nursery in Surrey. We've worked closely with our compost supplier for many years (with plenty of trial and error) to find a growing medium we're happy with, and now you can use it for your plants at home.
Made for the diverse range of plants we grow (over 7000 species and counting) this mix is well suited to the needs of most plants. Free draining for healthy roots, moisture retentive to reduce stress and rich in nutrients to nourish plants and soil.
How to use:
Use it for your hanging baskets and containers, potting up and growing on, adding to planting holes for new plants, mulching around established plants and improving heavy soils.
For seed sowing or striking cuttings, we’d recommend a finer seed compost. Not suitable for acid-loving plants such as azaleas, rhododendrons, heathers or camellias.
Contains a mix of sustainably sourced organic matter (coconut coir, wood chips and pine bark) with added lime, wetting agent and a balanced fertiliser to supply sustained nutrition.
