Indoor pot olla - terracotta
Made from porous terracotta, this indoor olla pot waterer makes it simple and stress-free to take care of your houseplants. Filled with water and buried neck-deep into a pot it’ll leach water into the soil, delivering water directly to the plant’s roots. You needn’t remember when you last watered, just peep inside and if the level’s low give it a quick top-up.
Thanks to osmosis the pot won’t ever get waterlogged. Water naturally moves from where there’s lots of it to where there’s none (or very little) of it. As long as the soil’s still moist, water will stay in the olla. Only when soil dries out will water start flowing again.
You don’t lose any water through run-off or evaporation, so it’s a very efficient approach with no waste. In time, you might even find your plants’ roots attach themselves to the olla so they can draw out only the water they need. Great for plant health and saves both time and water - a complete winner.
