A high-quality British-made chunky bark mulch, ideal for giving a decorative finish to paths, beds and borders. Made from sustainably produced British pine, Douglas fir and larch bark.
This is light and easy to handle, simple to spread and needs very little maintenance. On planted areas it retains moisture in the soil, keeps down weeds and helps deter crawling pests. It provides a clean surface to walk on for pruning etc, and adds insulation to mitigate against ground frosts and reduce overheating in hot weather.
Pieces typically range from 5 to 35mm and will last for at least two years, slowly breaking down to improve the soil’s organic content.
How to use:
Ensure the area to be mulched is entirely free of weeds, both annual and perennial. Spread the mulch evenly in a 5-10cm layer over freshly cultivated moist soil after planting has been completed. Do not disturb once applied.
Store in a cool, dry place away from weed killers and other garden chemicals, and reseal bag after use. We recommend wearing gloves when handling.
