The leaves of this showy croton are vividly and irregularly coloured green, yellow, red and burgundy, so they really put on a dazzling display, while offering textural interest with their gentle ruffles. Also, as there are typically 3 Codiaeum 'Mammy' plants in each pot, they already look really bushy and full.

How to care for Codiaeum Mammy:
This striking foliage plant rewards the right care with year-round colour. Keep it in a consistently warm spot, ideally on an east- or west-facing windowsill where temperatures never drop below 16°C (60°F). Avoid harsh, direct sun, which can scorch the leaves.
Humidity is key to success. Mist the foliage regularly, or stand the pot on a tray of damp pebbles so evaporating moisture raises the humidity around the plant. In dry rooms, especially with central heating, extra humidity will prevent leaf drop and keep colours vibrant.
Water with tepid water during the growing season, keeping the compost evenly moist but never waterlogged. Reduce watering in winter, allowing the top layer of compost to dry slightly between drinks. Feed every two weeks from spring through early autumn with a balanced liquid fertiliser to support healthy growth and rich leaf colour.
