Narcissus 'Nir' (PBR)

paperwhite - tazetta daffodil bulbs

Product Image
A recent introduction, this paperwhite has larger flowers than many of the other varieties. It also produces a heavier crop, as it's not unusual for two or three stems to emerge from each bulb - each of which can be topped with loose clusters of up to 15, highly scented blooms. They are perfect for forcing, and as they are very fast growers you can often have them in flower on the Christmas table.

We recommend planting these bulbs as soon as they are received (planting out or forcing for Christmas indoors). They can arrive already sprouting in advance of an earlier display than other Narcissus, and this is a natural part of a "Paperwhites" life-cycle. If planted outside, the colder temperatures will return the bulb to dormancy until natural flowering early in the new year."

How to care for Narcissus Nir (PBR):

Wearing gloves plant bulbs 10-15cm deep and 10cm apart in autumn. After flowering feed with a balanced fertiliser, dead-head the flowers, but do not be tempted to cut back or tidy the foliage after flowering as this will interfere with the bulbs ability to store energy for the following year's flowers.
