This unique intersectional peony combines the best traits of herbaceous and tree peonies, resulting in a dense, bushy plant adorned with large, deeply divided green leaves. The striking semi-double blooms emerge in late spring to early summer, showcasing a rich rose-pink hue with small purple flares at the base. Each magnificent flower is beautifully arranged around a centre filled with golden stamens, and as the plant matures, the prolific flowering becomes even more impressive. Paeonia 'Yankee Doodle Dandy' is rightly celebrated for its abundant blooms and lush foliage, as well as being deer and mildew resistant, offering a striking and healthy focal point in borders and perennial beds.

How to care for Paeonia Yankee Doodle Dandy:
Bare root plants should either be potted up or planted out as soon as possible while avoiding frosty or waterlogged conditions. Plant all peonies into well-prepared soil, making sure that the highest bud on the crown is no deeper than 5cm (2in) below the soil surface. In growth, keep well fed and watered, and remove spent flowers after they have faded. In each subsequent spring, apply a balanced slow-release fertiliser around the base of the plant and mulch with well-rotted compost or manure.
