Niwaki garden snips
A good reliable pair of snips you can stash in your pocket on your garden travels. The high-carbon SK-85 steel blades are brilliant for flowers, fruit and veg and any green growth (though not for woody pruning). The slender shape makes for precise snipping and those bright red handles will always reveal themselves, so you won’t lose them among the greenery.
Look after your snips by cleaning the blades after each use with a Crean Mate or water and washing up liquid. Dry well, apply a coat of camellia oil and store in a dry place. Sharpen every couple of weeks or as needed.
