Drop forged by hand in Yamagata, deep in the mountains of North Japan, these GR Pro secateurs are Niwaki’s best sellers. The hardwearing carbon steel makes them robust and reliable for everyday usability, while the well-balanced ergonomics allow precision and finesse.
The blade holds a keen edge, the chunky catch and spring give them a reassuringly simple functional feel, and the yellow grips make them easy to spot among garden greenery (you can slip them off if you prefer a more traditional look).
Perfect for keen gardeners, landscapers and professionals who work their tools hard and need them to stand up to rigorous use.
Care for your pair
Look after your secateurs by only using them on plant matter - never wire, stone, plastic or other hard materials - and always cutting on the diagonal. Use the base of the blades rather than the tip for heavier cuts and never twist them or apply uneven pressure.
Clean and dry the blades after every use (water and washing up liquid is fine), apply a coat of camellia oil and store in a dry place. Any rust or stubborn grime can be scrubbed off with a Crean Mate. Sharpen every couple of weeks or as needed.
