Sunny clay plant combination

This combination will look its best from mid summer to late autumn. The red hot cinquefoil is toned down slightly by the sneezeweedand black-eyed susan, but the result is still toasty.
Planting tips: Lift and divide large clumps in autumn or spring, and apply a generous 5-7cm mulch of well-rotted compost or manure around the base of the plants in spring. The taller plants will need to be supported with ring stakes or brushwood in spring.
You will need a sunny bed measuring 2m x 1.25m.
