Anthurium Vanilla Champion

flamingo flower

Product Image
Waxy, creamy yellow and green flowerheads, each with a distinctive yellow 'tail', top the slender upright stems that rise above the large and lustrous leaves. Each 'flower' of Anthurium Vanilla Champion can often last for several months and as new ones appear periodically throughout the year, they offer great value for money - particularly when viewed as an alternative to a bunch of freshly cut flowers.

Please note that unless purchased as an option, the pot in the photograph is not supplied with the plant (which is sent out in a simple nursery alternative), but we have a wide and wonderful range on our website to choose from.

How to care for Anthurium Vanilla Champion:

Flamingo flowers prefer bright, indirect light and consistently warm, humid conditions. Water well during spring and summer, allowing the top layer of compost to dry slightly between waterings, and reduce watering in winter.

Mist the leaves regularly to boost humidity, especially in centrally heated rooms, and occasionally rinse the foliage under a lukewarm shower to remove dust. Keep away from cold draughts and ensure temperatures stay above 15°C (59°F) year-round. Use a free-draining houseplant compost, and repot every two years or when roots become congested.

Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves.
