Baptisia 'Grape Taffy'

false indigo

Product Image
Recently introduced and a more compact form than many other baptisias, this false indigo is perfect for a well-drained border or a dry, sunny bank as it will become drought tolerant once well established. Resist the temptation to cut the plant back in autumn as the seed-pods and slender stems look wonderful frosted in the winter garden.

How to care for Baptisia Grape Taffy:

Lift and divide large colonies in early spring if necessary, though they are best left undisturbed if you can since they develop deep tap roots which enable them to be more drought tolerant.
