Native to South Africa, bacopa are evergreen perennials that are popular as trailing annual summer bedding plants with their long flowering season from summer through to autumn.
Also known as Chaenostoma cordatum, bacopa 'Snowflake' has small, toothed, ovate leaves, and racemes of pure-white flowers. They're perfect for creating floriferous hanging basket displays, and also look wonderful spilling over the edges of a pot or windowbox. Alternatively, use them to line pathways and soften border edges, or even scramble through the rockery.
Please note that the pot in the photograph is not supplied with the plant (which is sent out in a simple nursery alternative), but we have a wide and wonderful range on our website to choose from.

How to care for Chaenostoma cordatum Snowflake:
Pot up cuttings and grow on under glass until all risk of frost has passed and they can then either be planted outside into a well-prepared bed, or used to fill decorative pots and hanging baskets for the patio (9cm plants don’t need potting on but require initial frost protection).
Pinching out the growing tips will encourage them to become bushier, and feeding with a high-potash fertiliser at regular intervals throughout the summer will promote even more flowers to form.
