Indulge in a kaleidoscope of tulip beauty with our vibrant collection, featuring the bold deep purple 'Negrita', the regal 'Prinses Irene' with its orange petals flushed with purple, and the elegant 'Virichic' boasting rich pink petals accented with a fresh green streak, adding a touch of enchantment to your spring garden.
How to care for Bright repeat flowering tulip collection:
From August to November plant the bulbs 10-15cm deep and 10-15cm apart in a sunny spot with fertile, well-drained soil. While actively growing, keep them moderately well watered and remove the flowers after they have faded. At that stage a balanced liquid fertiliser can be applied each week for 4 weeks before they die down.
What's included:
In this combination you will receive the following:
- 10 × Tulipa 'Negrita': This snub-nosed deep purple tulip with beetroot purple veins and a satin finish is bound to draw attention. They look stunning planted en masse but are equally good planted next to softer pastel shades (such as Tulipa 'Early Glory'). They have strong stems and large flowers and are quite adept at coping with erratic spring weather. Grows to 50cm.
- 10 × Tulipa 'Prinses Irene': Named after a Dutch princess, this variety was first introduced in 1949. It has pale orange petals that are flushed with purple and are sweetly scented. Their short, sturdy stems make them ideal for growing in windy or exposed positions and they rarely get flattened by heavy spring downpours. Grows to 30cm.
- 10 × Tulipa 'Virichic': A very welcome addition to the tulip family, which is ideal for bedding displays as well as pots and containers. The rich pink petals become paler towards their edges and have a fresh green, central streak running along their length. With their elegant outline, as well as a delightful blend of colours, this is a truly beautiful example. Grows to 55cm.
