In this collection you will receive three of each of the following plants. They are all supplied in 9cm nursery pots.
Baptisia 'Purple Smoke': A wonderful hybrid from North Carolina Botanical Garden, its greyish violet pea-like flowers form in long spikes that are supported by near-black stems. This false indigo is perfect for a well-drained border or a dry, sunny bank as it will become drought tolerant once well established. Resist the temptation to cut the plant back in autumn as the seed-pods and slender stems look wonderful frosted in the winter garden. Grows to 1.25m.
Lupinus 'Chandelier' (Band of Nobles Series): Cheerful spires of yellow, pea-like flowers from June to July above dense clumps of mid-green leaves. This popular cottage garden perennial is perfect for the middle of a sunny border. To encourage a second flush of flowers in September and prevent the plant from looking scruffy, deadhead after the first flowers have faded. Grows to 90cm.
