With towering spikes that command attention in any summer border, this aristocrat of the perennial world produces an abundance of semi-double florets in the most enchanting shade of pale pink-mauve, each adorned with a pristine white eye.
Delphinium 'Turkish Delight' has earned its enduring popularity through its robust nature, producing multiple sturdy stems that rarely need staking, making it an excellent choice for both dramatic garden displays and cut flower arrangements.
This cottage garden classic performs magnificently at the back of sunny borders, where its statuesque form can reach impressive heights, creating a sophisticated vertical accent among companion plantings.
Despite its delicate appearance, this long-established cultivar exhibits remarkable vigour and can be encouraged to produce a second flush of blooms if promptly deadheaded after its initial spectacular display. Well-drained, moisture-retentive soil brings out the best in this pollinator-friendly perennial, whose elegant presence has graced gardens for generations.

How to care for Delphinium Turkish Delight:
For best results, choose an open spot away from taller plants. Stake with bamboo canes as they start to shoot upwards in mid-spring and protect young foliage against slug and snail damage. During the growing season, apply a balanced liquid fertiliser every 2-3 weeks and wearing gloves cut back the faded flower-stems to a flowering side-shoot to encourage repeat flowering. At the end of autumn cut back and compost the faded flower-stems.
