Why not shoot for the moon with this intergalactic beauty? And, as the saying goes…if you fall, you’ll land in the stars. With its wonderful jaggedy white frill, deep-red centre and textured white stamens, Stargazer is in bloom from May to August and fills the air with a heady fragrance.
How to care for Dianthus Stargazer ('WP13 GIL05') (PBR) (Whetman Stars Series):
Prefers soil enriched with well-rotted manure or garden compost and an application of a balanced fertiliser in spring. Dianthus should be trimmed back lightly after flowering to promote new growth at the base of plant. Prune more closely in spring, as new shoots emerge to maintain a tidy shape.
