A dense, shapely, evergreen shrub with an upright habit and lush, apple-green leathery leaves. It is ideal for growing as a specimen plant in the border and also makes an excellent hedging plant.

How to care for Griselinia littoralis:
In April or May lightly cut back any shoots that spoil the symmetry of the plant. After pruning apply a generous 5-7cm (2-3in) mulch of well-rotted garden compost around the base of the plant.
