Helipterum 'Pink'

paper daisy

Product Image
This cheerful hardy annual lights up sunny borders and vases with an abundance of rose-pink flowers. The upward facing blooms resemble daisies, with pink petals surrounding chocolate centres that are dusted with yellow stamens. Left on the plant, they attract bees and other pollinators in droves, but when cut, the flowers retain their vibrant hue beautifully, making them ideal for arrangements. For maximum floral impact in beds and bouquets, sow or plant en masse to allow the bright blooms to mingle and play off each other’s vibrant hue.

How to care for Helipterum Pink:

After hardening off, transplant them outdoors after the last frosts in May.

Sowing instructions:

For direct sowing in situ from May, sow the seeds thinly in well-prepared soil, about 10mm deep. Germination typically takes 10-14 days. As the seedlings grow, thin them out to leave a final spacing of 30cm (12 in). If sowing in pots or containers, you can start on a windowsill or in a greenhouse at temperatures of around 13-18°C (55-65°F) from March onwards.
