Tightly packed flowerheads of scented, 'Wedgewood' blue and white bell-shaped blooms appear from late winter, above the glossy, strap-like, dark green leaves. 'Blue Pearl' is a much-loved hyacinth, that will make a fabulously fragrant display either inside your home, or outside in the garden.
Please note that the pot in the photograph is not supplied with the plant (which is sent out in a simple nursery alternative), but we have a wide and wonderful range on our website to choose from.
Our potted bulbs will be delivered in leaf for flowering shortly after, for display indoors or in the garden. Keep the bulbs moist during growing and flowering, but reduce the water once the leaves begin to die off naturally.
How to care for Hyacinthus orientalis Blue Pearl (PBR):
Place potted hyacinth bulbs in a bright, cool position and keep the compost consistently moist, taking care not to let it become waterlogged. Once flowering has finished, allow the foliage to die back naturally, continuing to water sparingly while the leaves remain green.
Reduce watering as the foliage fades, as this allows the bulb to store energy for the following year. If grown indoors, moving the pot to a cooler spot can help prolong the display.
