Delightful, double, white, beardless flowers appear on unbranched stems, which rise from amongst broad, strap-shaped leaves in June and July. This white Japanese water iris may also put on a second flush of flowers in September. 'Her Royal Highness' is ideal for marginal planting in a medium to large pool and grows best in deep, acid soil enriched with well-rotted organic matter.
How to care for Iris Her Royal Highness:
These plants are potted up (using a suitable aquatic compost) into aquatic pots. These pots are made of a fine mesh, which allows water to circulate through the compost, providing the plants with both oxygen and nutrients. If you are using them as a aquatic plant, they can be placed straight into the pond, however they will preform better if planted out sooner rather than later. To enhance flowering divide congested clumps every three to five years.

This pond plant is semi-evergreen, so it can lose some of its foliage in winter. In colder regions or more exposed gardens, it may lose it all, but then fresh new growth appears again in spring.
