The showy terminal racemes of pure white pea-like blooms of ‘Polar Princess’ rise above palm-shaped, mid-green foliage, bringing elegantly muted colour, structure, and form to the garden. Flowering in June and July, if paired with the white Chinese wisteria, either as a standard or a climber, you’ll have tumbling and rising racemes for weeks on end!
How to care for Lupinus Polar Princess (PBR):
Stake with bamboo canes or other natural support in spring before the flowers appear and deadhead the faded blooms to encourage a second flush of flowers. Protect young plants from slug and snail damage, and cover the crown of the plant with organic mulch to insulate from hard frosts.
