The newest member of the 'Wish Series' of salvias, this one shares the same prolonged flowering period and prolific nature as its cousins, but the two-lipped flowers of 'Kisses and Wishes' are a clear sugar pink. These start appearing in midsummer, topping lush looking mounds of rich green foliage, and they are often still providing colour well into autumn. It's a good doer for both borders and pots.
How to care for Salvia Kisses and Wishes (PBR):
To prolong flowering remove the flower spikes as soon as they start to fade. Apply a generous 5-7cm (2-3in) mulch of well-rotted garden compost or manure around the base of the plant in spring. Protect from excessively low temperatures and avoid winter wet.
