Product Image
This charming dwarf perennial offers a delightful display of vibrant colour and fragrance in a compact package. Phlox paniculata 'Bambini Primadonna' features naturally branching stems adorned with lance-shaped green leaves, creating a neat, low-growing habit. Its standout feature is the abundance of rounded clusters packed with fragrant, bold pink florets that bloom profusely from late spring through early autumn. Despite its diminutive size, this cultivar boasts an extended flowering period, with blossoms remaining upright and highly visible throughout the season. The plant's early blooming nature, combined with its space-saving growth habit, makes it an excellent choice for borders, rock gardens, or container plantings.

How to care for Phlox paniculata Bambini Primadonna ('Verpri') (PBR) (Bambini Series):

Thrives in any fertile, humus rich, moist soil in full sun or part shade. Plants will benefit from good air circulation and from watering in extended dry spells. Water at the base if necessary, rather than over the leaves to avoid issues with mildew. Phlox are greedy plants, so apply a mulch 5-7cm (2-3in) deep of well-rotted garden compost or manure in early spring. Deadhead spent flowers to prevent reseeding. If the leaves show signs of powdery mildew, cut down to the ground and dispose of the affected foliage, but do not compost it. Clear away the debris around the plant to reduce the chances of reinfection. Cut down to the ground in autumn, and lift and divide large clumps in autumn or spring.
