In this collection you will receive three of each of the following plants. They are all supplied in a 9cm nursery pot.
Pimpinella major 'Rosea': An unusual plant which adds a loose informality to early summer plantings. Flat heads of tiny flowers, like a deep pink cow parsley or Queen Anne's Lace, are held on stiff, wiry stems, where they will attract passing bees and butterflies. The leaves, which are long and finely cut, grow from the base of the plant, so that the airy flowerheads are unencumbered by foliage. This perennial prefers a sunny position in a freely draining soil where it may happily naturalise and set seed. Grows to 1.2m.
Pennisetum setaceum 'Rubrum': Deep red to burgundy foliage with small, bristly red-purple flower spikes from July to September. This gorgeous ornamental grass looks great planted in a large clump where the flower spikes swaying in the breeze are a real eye catcher. For best results plant in a sunny spot in light moderately fertile, well-drained soil and shelter from extreme winter cold. It's highly recommended that this plant is brought into a frost-free place in winter. Grows to 1.5m.
