Primula bulleyana

Bulley's primrose / candelabra primula

Product Image
Mid-green leaves and tiers of crimson budded flowers opening to orange and fading to golden yellow. This semi-evergreen candelabra primula is excellent for a shady, woodland garden. Planted in groups for maximum effect, the upright stems contrast well with the foliage of ferns and other shade-loving plants. Primula bulleyana naturalises well and is a lovely addition to wildlife gardens and ponds.

How to care for Primula bulleyana:

Plant with a scoop of well-rotted compost to the planting hole. Divide large clumps after the plant has flowered, keeping the plant's roots moist during transplanting. Tolerates more sun if the soil is reliably moist.
