This showy dwarf syringa does not get too large, but produces its larger than average clusters of scented pink flowers repeatedly - usually with a big flush in spring, but then off and on again into autumn. These two things make Flowerfesta perfect for smaller gardens, but it will also be quite happy in a large pot on the patio (provided it is kept well fed and watered), where it will flower its little socks off.

In mid-summer remove the faded flower heads carefully using secateurs to avoid damaging the young shoots. Apply a generous 5-7cm (2-3in) mulch of well-rotted garden compost or manure around the base of the plant in early spring.
