Zinnia ‘Zinderella Purple’ is a bushy annual that erupts with colourful blooms from midsummer through to the first frosts. The upright plants produce sturdy stems topped with 5cm (2in) wide flowers in delightful shades of purple and magenta pink.
Both single and crested scabiosa-like double forms arise, composed of layers of frilly petals surrounding a striking dark central eye - the ruffled symmetry being irresistible to pollinators and cutflower enthusiasts alike.

How to care for Zinnia elegans Zinderella Purple:
Grow on under glass until all risk of frost has passed and they can then either be planted outside into a well-prepared bed, or used to fill decorative pots and hanging baskets for the patio.
Pinching out the growing tips will encourage them to become bushier, and feeding with a high-potash fertiliser at regular intervals throughout the summer will promote even more flowers to form.
