Pack of 6 reusable collars impregnated with copper to protect strawberries, hostas and salad crops from slug and snail attack.
Simply pop underneath a large pot or fit around the base of a plant, where it’ll also help retain moisture in the soil, suppress weeds and keep fruit clean.
How to use:
Before fitting, remove any slugs/snails from the plants to be protected (for pots, look for any lurking in clumps near the edge of the pot).
Place the collar around the plant with the dark side of the fabric facing upwards. Under pots, ensure there is a 10-15cm (4-6 inch) barrier around the pot.
Remove any leaves overhanging the edge of the fabric as this could allow slugs and snails to climb onto the plant. Brush off any debris (soil, leaves, etc) as this will reduce its effectiveness as a barrier.
