Woodpecker ornament - aged verde
Seeing a woodpecker is a rare treat, and we don’t get crested ones in the UK at all, but this little ornament is the next best thing.
Made from light and rust-proof recycled aluminium, the bird is textured and detailed from the top of the crest to the tip of the tail. Though fairly small it’s extremely eyecatching with a verdigris finish so it looks naturally weathered.
Each receives a black base coat, then a metallic paint and finally a protective clear lacquer to help it withstand the British weather. Once a year we recommend recoating with clear lacquer to maintain the original colour.
Hidden behind the feet is a keyhole bracket that will slot onto a screw, so you can fix it to a tree as if captured in its natural habitat.
