'Jury's Yellow' is a compact and erect evergreen shrub with medium-sized, anemone-form white flowers with conspicuous yellow ‘yolk-like’ centres. Flowering best in protected shade, this glossy, spring-flowering Camellia is great for architectural, low maintenance walls and trellis plantings, and large containers.
How to care for Camellia × williamsii Jury's Yellow:
To prevent damage to the emerging buds and flowers protect from cold, dry winds and early morning sun. Water established plants in dry weather to prevent bud drop. Apply a balanced liquid fertiliser in mid-spring and again in June. Top-dress annually with shredded bark or well-rotted leaf mould. After flowering lightly trim or prune any branches that spoil the appearance of the plant. Protect the roots of container-grown specimens in winter by wrapping the pots with hessian or horticultural fleece.
