The contrast between the mid-blue flowers, which appear in late summer, and the aromatic, silvery grey foliage is very eyecatching, and it also makes this compact shrub ideal for gravel or Mediterranean style gardens. Alternatively, it can be woven through a mixed border to add an accent (and a shot of late colour), or potted up and placed on a sunny patio.
How to care for Caryopteris × clandonensis Sterling Silver ('Lissilv') (PBR):
In March prune all of the flowered stems back hard to the permanent framework. After pruning apply a generous 5-7cm (2-3in) mulch of well-rotted garden compost around the base of the plant.
