Gasteria 'Little Warty'

ox tongue 'Little Warty'

Product Image
Flaunting textural intrigue through every season, this fascinating succulent creates living sculpture with its distinctively warty leaves, each adorned with raised pale green stripes and sharp-tipped edges.

Gasteria 'Little Warty' forms an eye-catching clump of rosettes whose surfaces are liberally studded with white tubercles, creating a uniquely tactile display. In spring, the architectural beauty of the foliage is complemented by elegant flower spikes rising above the leaves, bearing balloon-shaped blooms in subtle shades of pink-green that transition to orangey-yellow.

Unlike many succulents that demand bright conditions, this adaptable houseplant tolerates lower light levels, making it an excellent choice for adding structural interest to indoor spaces where other sun-loving succulents might struggle.

Please note that the pot in the photograph is not supplied with the plant (which is sent out in a simple nursery alternative), but we have a wide and wonderful range on our website to choose from.

How to care for Gasteria Little Warty:

This succulent houseplant prefers bright, indirect light, avoiding direct sunlight. During the growing season, water thoroughly - making sure the excess water drains away freely. Then, when the compost has dried out, repeat the process. Water very sparingly in winter. Keep between 15-24°C (60-75°F). It can tolerate cooler temperatures, but protect it from frost.

While Gasteria 'Little Warty' can tolerate low humidity, misting occasionally may benefit it in dry environments. Use a well-draining cactus or succulent potting mix and feed lightly during the growing season.

Repot every few years or when the plant outgrows its container. During the winter, reduce watering as the plant enters dormancy.
