Masses of pale-pink, saucer-shaped flowers with a rosy pink eye and narrow, evergreen leaves are borne on arching shoots from late spring to early summer. 'Martini' is an excellent choice as a specimen shrub for a warm, sheltered spot in the garden, either in a border or pot.

  • Garden care: Find a warm, sheltered spot for this frost-hardy evergreen, preferably with the protection of a sunny wall. After flowering, lightly trim or prune back shoots to maintain symmetry. Protect during freezing conditions with a double layer of horticultural fleece and a thick insulating mulch of well-rotted organic matter around the roots.
