Lobelia erinus 'Sapphire' (Trailing)
lobelia

- Rate of growth: average to fast
- Flowering period: May to October
- Hardiness: tender (will need frost protection)
Jazz up summer hanging baskets and windowboxes with this impressive trailing lobelia. The flowers of 'Sapphire' are an intense shade of magenta-purple, and to say they appear in profusion would be an understatement! They look spectacular when planted with rich blues, purples, pinks and silver too.
Garden care:
Pot up and grow on under glass until all risk of frost has passed and they can be planted outside in a well-prepared bed. Pinching out the growing tips will encourage them to become bushier, and feed with a high-potash fertiliser at regular intervals throughout the summer.
