It's so easy to create a fabulous display in borders or pots with this richly coloured collection of tulips.
How to care for Raspberry ripple tulip collection:
Using fresh, good-quality compost, plant bulbs in pots from September to November. For borders, we advise waiting until after the first frosts (typically mid-October to early December depending on your location) to reduce the risk of potential disease such as Tulip Fire. Plant bulbs 15-20cm (6-8in) deep and 10-15cm (4-6in) apart in fertile, well-drained soil. Alternatively, allow 7-9 bulbs per 30cm sq or 60-75 bulbs per m². If you’re unable to plant your bulbs immediately, they can be stored in a cool environment with good air circulation. Remove all the packaging and place them in a loose-weave jute sack before labelling and hanging up in a dry, unheated garden shed or well-ventilated greenhouse.
In spring, when the plants are in active growth, apply a high-potash fertiliser (like Tomorite) each week until the leaves start to die back. Pinch off the spent flower heads as the petals fall, and let the stem and foliage die back naturally. The bulbs can then be lifted and discarded, or cleaned, dried and stored (as before) for replanting the following autumn.

What's included:
In this collection you will receive the following bulbs:
10 x Tulipa 'Burgundy Lace': A wonderful tall tulip that is a really luscious shade of plum. It looks great when teamed up with other bruised tones, or just planted in great swathes throughout the border. The fringed petals give the flowers an interesting silhouette. Grows to 60cm.
10 x Tulipa 'Purple Flag': A stunning tulip, that will add strength to planting schemes containing shades of plum, lilac and blue. It also associates well with plants that have silvery coloured foliage. Stout and robust, it stands up well in poor weather conditions and the flowers are excellent for cutting. Grows to 45cm.
10 x Tulipa 'White Dream': Gorgeous pure white, bowl-shaped flowers appear in mid-spring above mid-green, strap-like foliage. A beautiful bulb, which is sometimes known as 'White Emperor', contrasts well with dark coloured tulips, such as 'Queen of Night'. Best grown in a sunny, well-drained site, and it makes excellent cut-flowers. Grows to 50cm.
10 x Tulipa 'Barcelona': A very conventionally shaped flower for a tulip, but it has outstandingly vibrant colour that makes it a real show-off. The stems are sturdy making them ideal for windy or exposed spots, and the flowers are quite long lasting. If you want a really daramtic show, mix them with strong purples or reds, or tone them down with softer pinks. Grows to 45cm.
5 x Tulipa 'Swan Wings': Fringed tulips not only give you spring colour, but the dissected petal edges also create textural interest. These flowers are glowing white, so are perfect for creating a classy look in borders and pots. Grows to 55cm.
