The secateurs have strong high-carbon steel blades with coloured comfort-grip handles to protect hands and wrists. The trowel has a sustainable hardwood handle and a carbon steel blade engraved with the Gertrude Jekyll quote "The love of gardening is a seed once sown that never dies”.

With any steel blades, it’s best to clean them with fresh water and dry well after use to prevent corrosion. A final wipe over with an oiled cloth will provide an extra layer of protection (vegetable oil is fine).
