Great for small spaces where a full spade would be too unwieldy, this compact perennial spade is light and manoeuvrable yet effective for digging large planting holes.

Designed by British gardener and author Christopher Lloyd, the spade’s handle is long enough for two-handed use and gives you better control and precision when working in tight borders.

The scoop-shaped head is also useful for moving large quantities of soil and compost quickly to fill large containers.

The spade has been hand forged from rust-resistant stainless steel and finished with a strong solid ash shaft and chunky T-handle. Supplied with a 10-year guarantee on steel parts (1 year for the handle).

Please note: take care not to place excessive strain on wooden handles when levering out roots or rocks in very firm soil. To help, water the area well to soften ground first. A crowbar may be more suitable for very heavy or stubborn obstacles.

Measurements:
Head W12.5cm x L14cm
