This deciduous shrub is a beauty. It is a hybrid that is the result of a complex breeding programme, which has bestowed upon it the best features of all its parents. It is a strong grower and produces its large fragrant flowers over a long period from early summer. These are very beautiful, resembling slender-petalled magnolias, which open from fat buds that form along the stems. The first flush of flowers is the most impressive and will last for a few weeks, but once over, the plant will continue to bloom intermittently throughout summer and into autumn. - Garden care: Shelter from cold drying winds. Remove dead or damaged stems in late winter or early spring.
- Humans/Pets: Harmful if eaten
