Eschscholzia californica 'Peach Sorbet'

Californian poppy

Product Image
Happiest in poor soils where they can get lots of sun, these summer-flowering annuals produce masses of pastel-peach coloured blooms above loose mounds of ferny foliage. A good little self-seeder, each plant may be short-lived, but once established, they will usually come back year after year.

How to care for Eschscholzia californica Peach Sorbet:

Prepare the bed well and sow shallowly into drills from March to May where they are to flower. When large enough to handle thin out the seedlings to 10 - 15cm apart, taking care not to damage the tap root. Water when necessary, but avoid excessively wet conditions. Seeds sown in late summer and early autumn will flower earlier than those sown in spring.
