Fruit press - 12 litre
If you’ve a productive apple (or other fruit) tree that you’d like to make better use of, this traditional wooden press is good fun and will keep you stocked up with delicious fruit juice.
Freshly pressed juice from your own fruit is tastier and cheaper than shop bought, and if the year brings a glut you can freeze the juice to enjoy throughout the year. You can also use it to brew up tasty batches of cider, perry and fruit wine.
All you do is line the pressing basket with a mesh pulp bag, chop up your fruit and throw it in, arrange the wooden pressing blocks on top then turn the handle to squeeze the fruit.
It’ll press hard fruits like apples and pears, as well as soft fruits such as grapes and berries. Juice will pour from the spout on the drip tray at the bottom, just place a large bowl or bucket underneath to collect it.
The base plate is made of steel and the basket of oak, so it’ll last you for many seasons of pressing. It comes with three pulp bags to filter out seeds and stalks and two sets of wooden blocks so you can add extra pressure for firmer fruit or smaller batches.
