This handy hori-hori has a razor sharp, knife-grade blade in stainless steel to resist rust and a chunky beech wood handle for grip. It’s serrated on one side for sawing through thick roots and pruning, and straight on the other for slicing and cutting. A great tool you can grab for pretty well any job in the garden. Weeding, pruning, planting, dividing, harvesting - the lot.
Caring for your hori-hori
Clean the blade after every use, dry well and apply a coat of camellia oil before storing in a dry place. A Crean Mate or scouring pad will scrub away any gunk and a sharpening stone will restore the blade edge. As with all hori-horis, the blade is not absolutely invincible. Avoid yanking it back in hard ground - it will bend.
