Made from hardened steel, the blade is exceptionally strong and will hold its edge without the need for regular sharpening. A mirror-polished surface allows easier digging with less soil resistance and adhesion, and the wide treads protect boots and feet.
The head fastens to a solid ash shaft with a strap-jointed socket, creating a flex point to give the tool added resilience under pressure. A double-riveted 'Y' handle provides a secure comfortable grip.
