Blended for roses and shrubs, this peat-free compost is approved by the Soil Association for organic growing. The moisture-retentive mix contains natural microbes and plenty of nutrient-rich organic matter. Ideal for boosting vigour and encouraging a good show of healthy blooms.
Made on the RocketGro farm in Somerset from a locally sourced blend of digestate fibre (composted maize, rye & grass) with bark fines, wood chip fines and super-refined PAS 100 green compost. The finished product is bagged up using 100% green energy produced by the farm’s biodigesters.
How to use:
When planting out, dig a hole at least twice the size of the root ball. Add a few inches of RocketGro compost and loose soil. Position the plant and fill with 50% soil and 50% rose compost, then firm around the base and water well.
When potting or repotting, water the plant and its root ball. Place a layer of fresh new compost in the base of the pot. Tap out the plant from the old pot, loosen the root ball and place in the centre of the new pot. Fill the space around the root ball, ensuring the compost level covers all the roots. Firm lightly and water thoroughly.
