Chamaecyparis lawsoniana 'Minima Aurea'

Lawson's cypress

Product Image
Forming a dense, compact cone shaped dome of fan-like sprays of golden foliage, which becomes greener as it matures, this little conifer is at its best when grown in a sunny spot. The foliage usually takes on a richer colouring when the temperatures drop in winter, and being so compact, it is ideal for pots, alpine beds or front of border positions.

How to care for Chamaecyparis lawsoniana Minima Aurea:

Apply a generous layer of mulch around the base of the plant (avoiding the immediate crown) in late winter. Pruning is not usually necessary, however any shoots that ruin the symmetry of the plant can be removed in autumn.
