Delosperma cooperi Hot Pink Wonder ('Wowdry1') (Wheels of Wonder Series) (PBR)
ice plant

Jazz up a hot, sunny spot with this low-growing gem. It produces its dazzling, bi-coloured pinwheel-like flowers in generous numbers over an incredibly long time, so it really gives great value for money. It's great for edging a path, and also works well in pots or rockeries - just as long as it gets plenty of sun!
How to care for Delosperma cooperi Hot Pink Wonder ('Wowdry1') (PBR) (Wheels of Wonder Series):
Choose a sunny location with well-draining soil. Loosen the soil and add compost or organic matter to the planting area and backfill, watering thoroughly after planting. Ice plants prefer sandy or rocky soil and can tolerate lean conditions but avoid poorly draining soil. For container planting, use a cactus and succulent mix or add perlite for drainage. Fertilise sparingly, if at all, and water regularly until established, but avoid overwatering to prevent root rot. Prune dead foliage and spent flowers in spring and lightly shear back in late summer to promote growth and winter hardiness.

This perennial is semi-evergreen so it can lose some of its leaves in winter. In colder regions or more exposed gardens, it may lose them all, but then fresh new growth appears again in spring.
